Manager, External Affairs, Policy & Advocacy

What you will be doing:

1. Develop and execute external affairs/policy advocacy strategies to promote NAC group’s goals and objectives.
2. Identify, monitor, and evaluate Philippine laws and policy developments directly or indirectly affecting the mining, power industries, and other business interests of NAC Group and provide timely updates to NAC Group.
3. Build and maintain relationships with government officials, policymakers, and other key influencers to advocate for NAC group’s interests.
4. Represent NAC group at meetings, hearings, and other relevant events to ensure NAC group’s voice is heard and concerns are addressed.
5. Collaborate with NAC group’s various departments to analyze the impact of proposed regulations and legislation of NAC group and develop appropriate responses and action plans.
6. Conduct research and analysis on government policies, initiatives, laws, and trends that may impact the NAC group.
7. Prepare and deliver presentations, position papers, draft bills, and local ordinances, reports, and other materials to effectively communicate NAC group’s positions and priorities to government officials and other stakeholders.
8. Engage in coalition building and partnership development with the other organizations and industry groups to amplify NAC group’s advocacy efforts.
9. Stay informed about industry best practices and trends in government affairs to continuously improve our strategies and approaches.
10. Manage budget, resources, and timelines related to government affairs initiatives.

What you need to be great in this role:

1. Juris Doctor, Master’s degree, or equivalent.
2. Law or equivalent.
3. Has at least 9 years’ experience in regulatory, government relations, external affairs, public affairs, ideally in a regulated industry (mining, energy, or utilities) .
