About the role
The Tax Accountant plays a key role in the preparation and review of financial accounting and compliance services to our clients. The role presents a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to quickly become a key contributor to our fast-growing team. Responsibilities include:
- Preparation and review of income tax and FBT returns
- Preparation and review of BAS and IAS
- Support and mentoring of bookkeeping function and team, including:
- Xero setup and training (inc. COA)
- Bank reconciliations
- Accounts Payable processing
- Accounts receivable processing
- Manual journal entries
- Reconciliations and review
- Payroll calculations, review and related administration
- Coach, mentor and supervise direct reports, including training other team members across the Tax and Accounting team

About you
You will bring your positive, can-do attitude, entrepreneurial mindset, professionalism and customer service focus and you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Accounting, Business Administration/Management (or a related field)
- Current professional Accounting registration (CPA/CA, etc.)
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in Australian public-practice tax and accounting
- Outstanding time management skills
- Excellent professional communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- A strong commitment to customer service, confidentiality and continuous improvement
