Software Development Section Manager - Quezon City

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Managing a team of Software Developers for both Corporate and Engineering clients.
• Supervise the overall project processes and operations.
• Plan a schedule of projects/activities to enable a reasonable workload.
• Manage the performance of the project and the project team members through Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure that changes in scope or schedule are justified, covered, and agreed to by appropriate decision makers.
• Communicate/report project progress and status to project team members, stakeholders, overseas counterparts, and top management.
• Facilitate and ensure that project documentation is complete and complies with the company document standard.
• Oversee and manage day-to-day activities of project team, as well as documentation of interns/probationary employees.
• Supports and develops team members by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities.
• Conduct biannual performance evaluations for the members based on targets set at the start of the evaluation year.
• Manage and create endorsements and requests on behalf of members.
• Escalate issues that require higher management awareness.
• Collaborate with clients and counterparts for operational improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of a BS in Computer Eng’g, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• Must have experience in Project and Program Management, handling multiple projects, and prioritization.
• Knowledgeable in any programming language: Python, C#, .NET, ReactJS, VueJS, ThreeJS, AutoLISP, SQL
• Knowledge of managing web services, cloud technology, and frameworks is a significant advantage.
• Professional experience and knowledge with Software Development Lifecycle.
• Strong expertise with Scrum and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of project management tools for software development.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Significant advantage for a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)
• At least 5 years of working experience in IT-related work and management roles.
