Accounting Assistant Supervisor New

Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group Philippines is recruiting on behalf of a Philippines based Japanese Machinery Manufacturing in Lipa Batangas. The company is looking for an experienced Accounting Supervisor.

Job Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting timely and accurate financial reporting. This role will lead a small team and play a key part in maintaining strong financial controls and reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes in compliance with GAAP
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of reports to government agencies (BIR, PEZA, BSP, SEC, etc.)
• Monitor and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate and support external audit requirements and inquiries
• Review financial statements and reports for accuracy and completeness
• Provide guidance and support to accounting staff
• Utilize accounting systems effectively (SAP S/4 Hana, Microsoft D365, or similar)
• Prepare and analyze reports using Microsoft Excel

Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• At least five (5) years of accounting experience, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory role
• Strong experience in government compliance (BIR, PEZA, BSP, SEC, etc.); experience handling a PEZA entity is an advantage
• Knowledge of financial statement closing processes and GAAP
• Experience working with external auditors
• Familiarity with SAP S/4 Hana and/or Microsoft D365 is an advantage
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
