Sr. Accountant - Accounts Receivable

We are looking for a Senior Accountant (Accounts Receivable) who will be responsible for overseeing the accounts receivable function, managing a team, and ensuring efficient billing, collections, and client relationship management. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, a keen eye for detail, and a collaborative mindset to drive team performance and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily accounts receivable operations, including invoicing and collections.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of billing processes and address any discrepancies.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports, manage the collection process, and implement strategies to reduce overdue accounts.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance staff, providing guidance, support, and training to enhance their skills and performance.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and foster a positive, productive work environment.
- Delegate tasks effectively and manage team workflow to meet departmental goals and deadlines.
- Act as the primary point of contact for complex customer inquiries and billing disputes, ensuring prompt and professional resolution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, addressing their needs and concerns to facilitate smooth financial transactions.
- Prepare and review detailed accounts receivable reports and reconciliations, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries.
- Analyze accounts receivable data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.
- Evaluate and enhance accounts receivable processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Implement best practices and technological solutions to streamline operations and reduce manual tasks.
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial processes with overall company objectives.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a related financial role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and developing a team, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
