We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier to manage all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. As the first point of contact in many cases, the ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle transactions in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.

Qualifications/Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Scan or enter items into the point-of-sale (POS) system and ensure pricing accuracy.
• Receive and process cash, credit/debit card payments, and vouchers.
• Issue receipts, refunds, exchanges, or change to customers as needed.
• Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area.
• Answer customer questions and provide assistance or direct them to the appropriate staff.
• Report any discrepancies or suspicious transactions to management.
• Follow all store policies and procedures, especially related to cash handling and security.
• Support the team in restocking and general customer service when needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a cashier or in a customer-facing role is a plus.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage but not required (training can be provided).

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle transactions quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Honest, trustworthy, and customer-service oriented.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift light items if needed.
