Executive search firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading international producer and distributor of wines and spirits. Our client is seeking a Channel Development Manager to drive sales growth through indirect channels, including partners, distributors, resellers, retailers, and affiliates.

This role will require travel for field work, with the head office located in BGC.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Revenue Growth
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Drive volume, value, and market share growth across assigned channels.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Account Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers (distributors, retailers, on/off-premise accounts).
  • Negotiate trade agreements, promotions, and visibility initiatives.
  • Ensure alignment of customer plans with company strategy.
  • Distribution & Execution
  • Ensure optimal product availability and visibility across outlets.
  • Expand distribution footprint and identify new business opportunities.
  • Execute brand activations, promotions, and merchandising standards.
  • Trade Marketing Execution
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to implement campaigns in the market.
  • Monitor effectiveness of trade promotions and suggest improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with brand guidelines and regulatory standards.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities.
  • Provide actionable insights to improve performance.
  • Prepare regular reports on KPIs, forecasts, and account performance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with internal teams (Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance).
  • Coordinate with distributors and field sales teams to ensure execution excellence.
  • Support cross-functional initiatives and projects.

Key job qualifications include:

  • Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in sales, preferably in the FMCG industry (beverage experience highly preferred).
  • Proven track record in channel development, distributor management, and sales growth.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, account management, and trade marketing execution.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in data-driven decision-making and reporting.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to travel as required to support channel growth initiatives.
