Job Summary

The Accounting Assistant supports the accounting team in daily financial operations, including data entry, document preparation, reconciliations, and record maintenance. The role ensures accuracy, completeness, and proper documentation of accounting transactions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in recording daily financial transactions in the accounting system
  • Prepare and organize accounting documents and supporting schedules
  • Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
  • Perform basic account reconciliations and identify discrepancies
  • Support preparation of financial reports and summaries
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records
  • Assist in monitoring expenses and verifying supporting documents
  • Coordinate with internal departments for accounting-related concerns
  • Support audit requirements by preparing necessary documents
  • Perform data entry and ensure accuracy of financial information
  • Assist in bank reconciliation and monitoring of cash transactions
  • Perform general administrative and clerical tasks related to accounting
  • And any duties that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or related field
  • Experience in accounting or finance is an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and processes
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
  • Willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
