Role: Senior Financial Planning Manager
Work Arrangement: Work from Home
Location: Philippines - Ortigas / Makati / Angeles / Mabalacat / Cebu / Davao / Bacolod

Schedule: Morning Shift

Key Workflow Responsibilities

Lead development and management of financial performance reports for the AP region
  • Prepare, review, and automate monthly financial reports for local councils and the region, ensuring timely, accurate, and transparent reporting.
  • Introduct a new P&L format to increase the visibility of council-level performance and to inform regional decision-making
  • Support the evolution to real-time and pro-forma forecasting by strengthening reporting pipelines and data readiness
  • Leverage existing systems (e.g., Intact, Power BI, Excel) to drive automation and standardization of reporting outputs
Drive budget and reforecast processes for Asia Pacfic, working with budget owners and Global
  • Own the APAC budget cycle and periodic reforecasts, coordinating timelines, templates, assumptions, and deliverables with budget owners and Global Finance.
  • Consolidate inputs, challenge assumptions, and synthesize risks/opportunities into clear narratives and dashboards for senior leadership.
  • Align reforecast cadence with moves toward pro-forma forecasting and future P&L structures
  • Partner closely with budget owners to clarify roles and responsibilities across planning and management reporting.
Troubleshoot: resolve financial errors and drive tactical process/IT improvements
  • Ensure accuracy in accounting and reporting through robust review, reconciliation, and error-detection routines; swiftly resolve discrepancies.
  • Drive process automation and simplification, leveraging current tools (Intact, Power BI) and mapping end-to-end roles/responsibilities to strengthen controls.
  • Develop and centralize SOPs for finance operations to promote consistency and resilience across AP markets.
  • Support compliance with local/regional requirements, including NGO/foundation considerations where applicable.
Analysis: lead financial and other business analysis initiatives and projects
  • Lead APAC strategic finance projects (e.g., FY27 P&L design, China Foreign NGO, and Foundation setup and process improvement) to support transformation of the Asia Pacific operating model
  • Provide financial analysis and operational input for investment and funding initiatives as part of the region’s operating model transformation
  • Build practical, insight-rich views for senior leaders, linking financials with operational drivers and performance trends

In addition, this role will also lead:

  • Training and support for AP staff on financial systems, reporting navigation, and process know-how, on an as-needed basis.
  • SOP and documentation development for staff and new joiners, ensuring clear, up-to-date guides and R&R matrices.
  • Continuous improvement initiatives (including, for example, selective adoption of AI and advanced automation) to elevate productivity and data quality.
  • A/R collections and analysis, partnering with Global Finance, AP, and Local Councils to improve cash conversion and resolve aged items.
  • A/P operations, working with Manager, Admin and Governance and Executive Directors; in future, may extend to procurement processes and vendor management.
  • Preparation of reports and EXCO materials, supporting the Global CFO and AP CEO with clear, concise, decision-ready content.

Non-negotiable skills & requirements:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant, or equivalent experience (assistant accountant or above).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years experience in finance and accounting or related roles, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with Proficiency with Intact, Power BI, and Excel; proven experience in process automation preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams and cultures; excellent communication skills, including with business excecutives and senior staff with minimal finance and accounting backgrounds.
  • Experience in not-for-profit and multi-country finance operations is a plus
  • Has extensive knowledge of FINANCIAL MODELLING, FORECASTING AND BUDGETTING
