Accounting & Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage All Accounting Operations: Take ownership of the full accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS).
  • Job Costing & Project Accounting: Maintain detailed job cost records, track project expenses against budgets, and analyze project profitability.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Assist in the development of company budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against these benchmarks.
  • Compliance & Taxes: Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations (e.g., BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) and prepare necessary tax filings. Coordinate with external auditors as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures, implement best practices, and leverage accounting software to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Vendor & Client Management: Oversee payment processing for vendors and ensure timely collection of receivables from clients.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in the Philippines is required.
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with significant experience specifically within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of job costing, progress billing, and retainage practices common in construction.
  • Excellent understanding of Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS) and relevant tax laws.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlines independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and implement solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with management, vendors, and clients.
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a role with a high degree of autonomy.
