Associate Civil Engineer - Transport (AU Projects) New

Executive Search Firm Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting an Associate Civil Engineer - Transport for AU Projects on behalf of a global engineering & professional services consulting firm. This role will coordinate the preparation of, or develop, engineering plans, specifications, estimates for complex public works projects, required advertising for bids, reviews construction bids and make necessary recommendations based on lowest and best bids, competency of vendors and consultants, and the selection criteria.

• Comply with all role specific SHEQ obligations.
• Provide key technical expertise across a broad range of projects.
• Apply safety in design practices and processes at a high level.
• Project Lead large sized multidiscipline projects.
• Lead winning proposals and pursuits.
• Apply legislation, standards, guidelines and project specifications.
• Communicate complex technical issues to clients.

Qualifications (Minimum and Desirable):

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or Equivalent.
• Experience, skills and organizational knowledge
• Typically, 10-12 years' experience.
• Basic use of BIM software and how to use and review models.
• Awareness of BIM inter-disciplinary coordination.
• Demonstrated knowledge of WSP's organizational capability and how to access it.
• Demonstrated knowledge of systems, procedures and practices.
• Demonstrated knowledge of organizational approach to risk management, ethics and safety.
• Proven ability to prepare technical reports and review large project reports.
• Demonstrated experience in monitoring and managing the scope of multiple projects of varying complexity and size.
• Experienced in winning job from a job.
• Delivered best client outcomes/options which have saved the client costs/time.
• Experience in identifying and managing risk on substantial projects.
• Experienced in developing and maintaining client relationships.
• Proven ability in building the technical capability of others and transferring technical expertise within the organization.
• Experience in supervising graduates and professionals and managing small teams.
• Balances innovation, quality and technical excellence with delivery to timelines and budget.
