About the role ….- Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Management, training and development of the finance team.
- Monitoring and regular feedback to the team of 3cx phone calls
- Monitoring and feedback to employees of inbound and outbound emails of all generic account email addresses
- Prepare weekly sales and operations reports to the management team.
- Facilitate tax compliance requirements, including FBT, GST, BAS, PAYG and payroll tax.
- Processing and lodgement of long service leave for construction award workers.
- Monthly review of sales commissions and incentives.
- Monthly, quarterly and annual preparation of bonus', incentives and profit share payments.
- Prepare monthly financial management reports within the required deadlines and provide insights into financial performance and trends.
- Preparation of year-end financial reporting pack for the external Accountants.
- Monitor and analyse financial metrics, identifying areas for improvement and cost optimisation.
- Use financial targets and models to drive decisions, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Review of job costings and reporting in our job management system.
- Dealing with customer queries.
- Oversee cashflow planning (including preparation of daily cashflow forecasts) and management to ensure optimal financial health.
- Lead the annual budgeting and planning process, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Assistance with day-to-day responsibilities when the finance team are unavailable.
- Adhoc duties as and when required.
