Your Role:
As a CPA Tax Advisor, you will:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
- Advise clients on tax planning strategies to minimize their tax liabilities.
- Conduct thorough tax research to stay current with changing tax laws and regulations.
- Assist clients in IRS audits, representing them and providing necessary documentation.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and consultation.
- Analyze financial statements and ensure compliance with tax reporting requirements.
- Identify potential tax credits and deductions to optimize client tax outcomes.
- Collaborate with other financial professionals to provide comprehensive financial planning.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of all tax transactions and correspondence.
- Provide training and guidance to junior staff members on tax-related matters.
- Monitor and implement any changes in tax legislation affecting clients.
- Offer strategic advice on mergers, acquisitions, and other financial decisions from a tax perspective.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax advisory or public accounting.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Experience in tax planning and strategy development.
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong ethical standards and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Continuing education and professional development in tax laws and accounting practices.
