HR Manager

Position Overview
The HR Manager will play a key role in shaping and executing various aspects of the company's human resources practices and processes. This pivotal role involves developing and implementing HR initiatives that align with business objectives while ensuring legal compliance.We seek a strategic thinker with a comprehensive understanding of Philippine labor laws and a passion for fostering a positive and productive work environment. This position reports to the CEO and offers a significant opportunity to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:
- Collaborate with the HR-Admin Officer on the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring individuals for various positions across all stores and the head office.
- Develop and implement onboarding programs that empower new employees to seamlessly integrate into the company culture and their roles.
- Collaborate with the area managers & the commissary leadership team to understand their unique staffing needs and provide dedicated recruitment support.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Supervise the HR-Admin Officer in administering and managing employee compensation and benefits programs, including payroll, leave administration, and government-mandated benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
Employee Relations and Performance Management:
- Serve as a trusted resource for employee relations matters, providing guidance and support to both employees and managers, prioritizing open communication and conflict resolution.
- Manage employee disciplinary actions, investigations, and terminations with fairness and following company policy and Philippine labor laws.
- Develop and implement performance management systems that drive employee productivity and facilitate professional growth, including performance appraisals.
- Cultivate a positive and harmonious work environment, promoting strong employee engagement and effectively resolving conflicts. Promote a workplace where everyone feels heard, respected, and able to contribute their best.
Occupational Safety and Health (OSH):
- Collaborate with the Operations & R&D departments to ensure compliance with all relevant Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) standards and regulations in the Philippines.
- Develop and implement OSH policies and procedures to create a safe and healthy work environment across all locations.
- Conduct regular workplace inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate and facilitate OSH training programs for all employees, including new hire orientation and ongoing refresher training sessions.
- Investigate workplace incidents & accidents, and recommend preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate records related to OSH compliance, incidents, and training.
HR Administration and Compliance:
- Maintain meticulous and up-to-date employee records, both physical and digital.
- Manage all HR-related documentation, including contracts, personnel files, and other essential records.
- Ensure strict compliance with all government reporting requirements.
- Oversee the effective utilization of the HR Information System (HRIS).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role.
- Passed BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) training Level 1 or 2; Certified Safety Officer 1 or 2.
- Strong grasp of Philippine labor laws and regulations.
- Experience in the food and beverage industry or a multi-store retail environment is highly valued.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective HR strategies and initiatives. We value strategic thinking and a results-oriented approach.
- Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) is a plus.
