Java Developer | J2EE | SOAP | REST | Spring Boot | Kafka | Onsite | Dayshift

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our technology team and contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise-grade applications and integration services.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Java/J2EE application development, RESTful services, Kafka messaging systems, and modern backend technologies. You will work closely with architects, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performance applications within a distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performing backend services and business applications.
• Develop reusable components and frameworks that support enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Participate in technical design sessions and contribute to solution architecture discussions.

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and SOAP web services.
• Build API solutions using JAX-RS and modern REST frameworks such as Spring Boot, Jersey, or RESTEasy.
• Implement API security standards including OAuth authentication and authorization.
• Develop and support integration services across multiple enterprise applications and platforms.

• Develop and maintain event-driven applications using Apache Kafka.
• Design and implement messaging and streaming solutions to support real-time data processing and system integration.
• Troubleshoot and optimize Kafka-based services to ensure performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database interactions.
• Work closely with database teams to ensure data integrity, performance, and scalability.
• Support application performance tuning and troubleshooting activities.

• Apply Clean Code principles, coding standards, and software engineering best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support Agile development processes including sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7 to 9 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.
• Strong expertise in Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE) technologies.
• Solid experience developing and supporting RESTful and SOAP Web Services.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka in enterprise environments.
• Good understanding of HTTP Protocol and web-based application architectures.
• Experience using JAX-RS for API development.
• Hands-on experience with REST frameworks such as Spring Boot, Jersey, or RESTEasy.
• Experience implementing OAuth-based security mechanisms.
• Strong experience with Git, RTC, or similar source control systems.
• Strong SQL and relational database experience, preferably MySQL.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
