Safety Officer - Binan, Laguna

About the role

DHL Supply Chain Phils., Inc. is seeking an experienced Safety Officer to join our team in Binan City, Laguna. This full-time position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees at our Binan site. As the Safety Officer, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety across the organization.

1. Developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices
2. Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
3. Providing comprehensive safety training and education to all employees
4. Investigating accidents and incidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
5. Maintaining comprehensive safety records and documentation
6. Collaborating with management to continuously improve safety performance and promote a proactive safety culture
7. Representing the company in regulatory audits and inspections

1. Minimum of 1 year experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the manufacturing, logistics, or transportation industry
2. Thorough understanding of relevant health and safety regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS)
3. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and address safety issues
4. Excellent communication and training skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels
5. Proficient in the use of safety-related software and data analysis tools
6. Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or a related field
7. Certified Safety Practitioner (CSP) or OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor certification preferred
