Part-Time Shopify Backend Web Developer (Music Industry)

Position Overview:

We're seeking a skilled part-time Shopify backend developer with graphics design capabilities to help optimize our e-commerce platform. This role will focus on implementing technical solutions, customizing our Shopify theme, and enhancing our website's functionality and appearance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Implement and customize Shopify themes and templates to improve user experience
2. Develop and integrate custom metafields for product information management
3. Create and modify liquid templates for product pages and site sections
4. Implement automation for bulk product data updates
5. Optimize site performance and page load speeds
6. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with our Shopify store
7. Create and implement graphics, banners, and visual elements as needed
8. Collaborate with our e-commerce team to implement new features and functionality
9. Assist with integrating third-party apps and services with our Shopify platform
10. Maintain and update our website to ensure optimal performance

Qualifications:

1. Proven experience with Shopify theme development and customization
2. Strong knowledge of Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
3. Experience with Shopify API and app integration
4. Graphics design skills and experience with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.)
5. Understanding of e-commerce best practices and user experience principles
6. Knowledge of SEO considerations for e-commerce websites
7. Experience with metafields and custom data implementation in Shopify
8. Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
9. Experience or interest in the musical instrument industry is highly desired
10. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively

1. Personal experience with musical instruments or background in music
2. Previous work on music industry websites or e-commerce stores
3. Experience with Shopify Plus features and capabilities
4. Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques
