Job Summary
Biosite Medical Instruments, Inc. is looking for a skilled, reliable, and service-oriented Refrigeration and Airconditioning Technician who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems used in commercial, industrial, healthcare, and laboratory-related settings.
The role is ideal for candidates with strong technical knowledge in refrigeration and air conditioning servicing, hands-on experience in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and the ability to deliver quality service support to clients.The successful candidate must be willing to travel within Luzon areas and provide timely technical assistance as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Install, set up, test, and commission refrigeration units, freezers, air conditioning units, and related cooling systems based on technical specifications and client requirements.
Conduct inspection, diagnosis, troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and calibration of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Identify and resolve electrical, mechanical, refrigerant, pressure, airflow, thermostat, compressor, condenser, evaporator, and system performance issues.
Perform routine maintenance activities such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels and pressure, inspecting wiring and controls, calibrating thermostats, and replacing worn-out or defective parts.
Ensure that all refrigeration and air conditioning equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality, safety, and operational standards.
Respond to client service requests, equipment concerns, and technical issues in a timely and professional manner.
Prepare and submit accurate service reports, maintenance records, equipment status updates, parts usage reports, and other required documentation.
Maintain proper inventory, handling, and accountability of tools, equipment, spare parts, and service materials.
Coordinate with internal teams, supervisors, clients, and other concerned personnel regarding service schedules, equipment concerns, technical findings, and repair recommendations.
Observe proper safety procedures, equipment handling practices, refrigerant handling protocols, and company policies at all times.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining technical concerns clearly, addressing client concerns professionally, and ensuring satisfactory service delivery.
Qualifications
Candidate must have completed a vocational, technical, or related course in Refrigeration and Airconditioning, HVAC/RAC Servicing, Electrical Technology, Electromechanics, or any related field.
With TESDA NC II or NC III in Refrigeration and Airconditioning Servicing is highly preferred.
With relevant work experience as a Refrigeration Technician, Airconditioning Technician, HVAC Technician, RAC Technician, or similar technical role.
Knowledgeable in refrigeration systems, air conditioning systems, electrical controls, mechanical components, refrigerant handling, preventive maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.
Able to read and interpret electrical diagrams, technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications.
Skilled in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, testing instruments, and maintenance equipment.
Must be physically fit and able to lift equipment, bend, work in confined spaces, and perform fieldwork under varying site conditions.
Must have good communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters clearly to clients and internal teams.
Knowledgeable in basic MS Office tools for reporting and documentation.
Must be willing to travel within Luzon areas and work on extended hours, when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
With experience servicing commercial, industrial, laboratory, medical, healthcare, or cold storage refrigeration systems.
With strong background in preventive maintenance, calibration, equipment commissioning, and service documentation.
With good customer service orientation, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
