Job Title: Virtual Assistant

Job Position: Full Time

Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Virtual Assistant to join our team. The ideal

candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong ability to multitask, and

experience in a healthcare setting. The primary responsibilities of this role include

answering phone calls, scheduling patients, directing them to the appropriate department, and handling various patient-related inquiries and tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Answering Phone Calls: Promptly answer incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate department or

personnel.
Take down the patient’s name and their specific requests, such as calls related to medical

records, lab orders, referrals to specialists.

Handle inquiries about prescription refills and communicate them to the correct person, or

department.

Patient Outreach: Call patients to check if they would like to schedule an appointment with the doctor.

Verify patients' insurance information during these calls.

Scheduling and Rescheduling: Answer phone calls regarding appointment rescheduling and assist patients in finding new

appointment times. Plotting it in the software and making sure there are no conflicts in

scheduling.

Ensure all rescheduling requests are accurately documented and communicated to the
relevant department.

Take patient’s insurance information to make sure we accept their insurance.

Requirements: Proven experience as a Virtual Assistant or relevant role.

Experience in a healthcare setting is highly preferred.
Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in using healthcare management software and virtual communication tools.

Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace for handling calls.

Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes.

Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.

Prior experience in patient communication and customer service.

Work Hours: This is a remote position during standard working business hours M-F 8am - 5pm
