Infrastructure Engineer, System

• We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer, System (Jr.) to assist in managing and maintaining our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have foundational knowledge of Windows systems, virtualization, and enterprise IT solutions, with a strong desire to learn and develop troubleshooting skills. This role involves system maintenance, security, and providing IT support to end-users.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers.
• Assist in managing physical and virtual servers, including Windows Server environments.
• Support Office 365 administration, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Manage and support Active Directory, including user and group management.
• Configure and maintain Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, and DHCP.
• Ensure system backups and disaster recovery solutions are functioning properly.
• Ensure security best practices are followed, including patching and antivirus updates.
• Support virtualization technologies such as Nutanix, VMware or Hyper-V.
• Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

• Assist in implementing IT security best practices, including user access controls and endpoint protection.
• Participate in system patch management and routine security updates.
• Conduct basic audits and vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with IT policies.

• Provide technical support for system-related issues.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems, escalating when necessary.
• Document troubleshooting steps and solutions for future reference.

• Assist in system upgrades, migrations, and new technology implementations.
• Support infrastructure projects, working closely with senior administrators and engineers.
• Maintain accurate documentation for systems and processes.

• Track system and identifying potential issues before they escalate.
• Generate basic reports on system health, security, and capacity planning.
• Recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic knowledge of Windows Server installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Understanding of Active Directory, Group Policies, and user access management.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and basic cloud administration.
• Experience with SAN, NAS and HCI (Hyper-Converged Infrastructure).
• Experience with basic PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting.

• Experience with basic diagnostic tools like Event Viewer, and Resource Monitor.
• Experience in resolving performance-related issues in Windows, Nutanix, and VMware environments.
• Ability to follow structured troubleshooting methodologies.
• Strong documentation skills for technical resolutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Relevant certifications, such as:
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Windows Server
• CompTIA Security+
• Nutanix Certified Associate (NCA)
• VMware Certified Associate (VCA)

• 1-3 years of experience in system administration or IT support.
• Hands-on experience managing Windows environments and Office 365.
