About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Podcast Editor to take full ownership of podcast production—from raw recordings to polished, publish-ready episodes. This role goes beyond editing; you will also support episode planning, guest coordination, and publishing across major podcast platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Audio & Video Editing (Core Focus)- Edit full-length podcast episodes for clean, professional audio quality
- Remove filler words, awkward pauses, and background noise
- Edit video versions for YouTube and social media platforms
- Add intro/outro music, branded elements, and formatting
- Create short-form clips and audiograms for promotion
- Deliver polished, publication-ready content on time
- Collaborate on episode topics, outlines, and content direction
- Use AI tools to research ideas and generate talking points
- Maintain a content calendar and episode pipeline
- Prepare interview guides tailored to each guest
- Conduct outreach and scheduling with potential guests
- Manage communication from invitation to post-recording follow-up
- Provide recording instructions and ensure guest readiness
- Facilitate recording sessions using platforms like Riverside or similar tools
- Ensure audio/video quality during sessions
- Troubleshoot technical issues as needed
- Manage podcast setup and submission to major platforms
- Upload and publish episodes consistently
- Optimize titles, descriptions, and metadata for discoverability
- Monitor performance and provide basic analytics reports
- Write clear and engaging show notes and episode summaries
- Draft titles, captions, and supporting content
- Use AI tools to streamline workflows and improve output
- Proven experience editing and launching podcasts (portfolio required)
- Strong audio editing skills and attention to detail
- Experience with video editing for social media and long-form content
- Familiarity with podcast platforms and distribution processes
- Experience using AI tools for content and workflow support
- Strong written communication skills
- Highly organized and deadline-driven
- Experience in lifestyle, parenting, or wellness content
- Familiarity with podcast hosting platforms
- Experience with Descript or similar tools
- Basic design skills for social media or episode visuals
- Background supporting creators or personal brands
- Recording: Riverside or similar
- Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Descript, or similar
- Audio: Audition, Audacity, GarageBand, or equivalent
- Publishing: Major podcast platforms and hosting tools
- Content: AI tools and basic design platforms
- Detail-oriented editor who cares about quality and flow
- Proactive and able to take ownership of the full process
- Organized and consistent with deadlines
- Strong communicator for both internal and external coordination
- Passionate about content creation and storytelling
