Senior QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Quality Automation Engineer to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of software and digital products through robust test automation and quality engineering practices.

This role will design and implement automated testing frameworks, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate closely with engineering teams to embed quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate has strong automation experience, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for building scalable and maintainable test solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies and quality assurance plans.
• Ensure high product reliability through consistent validation and quality checks.

• Build and maintain automation frameworks using tools such as Playwright, WebdriverIO, and Appium.
• Develop and maintain automation test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Generate test reports and insights using tools like Allure Report.

• Integrate quality engineering practices into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Champion shift-left testing to detect defects early in development.

• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Jira/XRay.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and provide actionable recommendations.

• Work closely with developers, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure end-to-end quality.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold security and quality standards.

• 5+ years of experience in QA automation or software quality engineering
• Proven experience implementing automation frameworks for web or mobile applications
• Experience working within Agile or DevOps development environments
• Hands-on experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

• Experience with performance testing tools such as K6
• Experience with cross-browser and cloud testing platforms (e.g., LambdaTest)
• Experience testing cloud-native or microservices-based architectures

• Test Automation Framework Development (Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium)
• JavaScript or TypeScript Test Automation Scripting
• CI/CD Integration for Automated Testing (GitLab or similar)

• QA methodologies and test strategy development
• Allure Report or similar test reporting frameworks
• Jira / XRay test management
• Performance testing using K6
• Cloud platform familiarity (AWS or GCP)
• Cross-browser and cross-device testing
• API testing and validation
• Test data management and environment configuration
