About this role…
The Accountant will be working closely with the client to support the business and manage the following tasks:
Key Responsibilities:
- Coding bank transactions
- Processing receivables and payables
- Preparing Payroll and supporting calculations/analysis where changes from last period.
- Ensuring relevant add-ons are appropriately connected to Xero and the setup ensures maximum efficiency and accuracy
- Utilise software such as AccountKit and XBert to check accuracy of account balances
- Accounting software queries and troubleshooting
- Respond to ad-hoc Changes, requests and explanations relating to accounting records in Xero
- Ensure Senior is up to date on relevant client matters and flag any potential questions and concerns to them promptly that may impact the client's business or our services.
- Prepare tax returns and supporting calculations (Div 7A, Tax Calc) and other ATO obligations for individuals, companies, and trusts such as ATO payment plans and registrations
- ACNC Annual Information Statements
- Annual audit information packs
- BAS and IAS including related calculations
- Payroll Tax Calculations and registrations
- Acquittal Calculations
- Monitor and respond to Support Inbox promptly (within 3 hours)
- Filing emails
Qualifications / Skills:
- Graduate of Accountancy or Accounting Technology; Advantage if CPA licensed
- With more than 2+ years of work experiences in accounting preferably Australian Accounting
- Achieves successful outcomes through clear and effective communication and the ability to relate to others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good problem-solver
