Material Management and Recovery Supervisor (Warehouse and Inventory)

The supervisor works closely with Production, Procurement, Quality Assurance, and Logistics to minimize material losses, maximize recovery opportunities, and maintain uninterrupted production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the receipt, storage, issuance, and transfer of raw materials, packaging materials, and other inventory.
• Ensure timely material availability to support production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment with Procurement and Supply Planning.
• Implement proper material handling and storage practices to preserve product quality and prevent damage.
• Ensure compliance with FIFO/FEFO inventory management principles.
• Monitor inventory aging and recommend actions to minimize obsolete or slow-moving stocks.

• Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, replenishment, dispatch, and housekeeping.
• Optimize warehouse space utilization and storage layout for operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with warehouse safety standards, GMP, HACCP, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation for all warehouse transactions.
• Coordinate with Logistics and Production to ensure timely material movement.

• Ensure inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Investigate inventory variances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain inventory records within the ERP or Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Analyze inventory trends and prepare inventory performance reports.
• Monitor key inventory KPIs, including inventory accuracy, stock turnover, stock availability, and inventory losses.

• Supervise recovery, segregation, rework, and disposition of recoverable materials in accordance with company quality standards.
• Identify opportunities to reduce material waste and improve recovery rates.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance and Production on disposition of rejected or returned materials.
• Support sustainability and cost-reduction initiatives through effective material recovery programs.

• Supervise warehouse personnel and recovery staff.=
• Conduct performance evaluations, coaching, and skills development.
• Schedule manpower to ensure efficient warehouse operations.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, GMP, HACCP, ISO, and company quality systems.
• Participate in internal and external audits.
• Develop and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse productivity and inventory control.
• Prepare operational reports, KPIs, and management presentations.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or materials management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in the food manufacturing, beverage, or FMCG industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, material handling, and recovery processes.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, FIFO/FEFO, food safety standards, and inventory best practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
