JOB DETAILS

The primary objective of this role is to analyze operational and financial data to support the optimal performance of national asset portfolio. This role involves collecting, cleaning, visualizing, and interpreting large datasets to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and improve customer experience.

• Collect, clean, and analyse large datasets from energy billing, meter providers, and financial systems.
• Provide actionable insights on energy consumption, billing trends, and customer usage.
• Build dashboards and reports (Power BI, Tableau, Excel) for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support tariff modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, automation scripts, and reporting workflows.
• Collaborate with AU teams in Finance, Asset Management, and Retail Operations.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance in all reporting and processes.

KEY PERFORMANCE

• Analyse data sets required to understand the operational and financial performance of the client Assets. Key activities include analysing Embedded Network energy profiles including energy procurement and import, energy consumption and on-selling, or on-site generation and export.
• Collect, clean, and process large datasets from energy billing providers, meter data providers, energy retailers, and other energy market participants.
• Analyse customer and energy usage data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth and optimisation.
• Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Support pricing and tariff development with data-driven insights and market analysis.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy through regular validation and audits.
• Support the ongoing optimisation of Client Assets. This involves comprehensive energy modelling and validation against real-world performance data to ensure optimal Asset design and profitability.
• Collaborate with external partners like energy retailers, network service providers, and consultants to manage embedded network gate meters, including tendering, contract management, and invoice validation.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and other financial processes, by using statistical and financial data techniques and models.

• Visualise and present operational and financial data to provide insights into current asset performance, performance trends, and budget or model validation.
• Prepare internal operational performance reports for Energy Bay’s Management team (BAU and ad hoc).
• Prepare external Asset Management reports for Energy Bay customers and JV partners.
• Monitor and report on operational key performance indicators (KPIs) related to energy data, billing, and service delivery.
• Contribute to the creation of internal financial reports required for the financial month end review process.
• Support regulatory and compliance reporting as required.

• Create and maintain data management systems, processes, and workflows.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of dashboards and reports.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and queries.
• Automate data pipelines and processes.
• Support the ongoing improvement of asset energy models.
• Identify and address repetitive or manual business processes to improve productivity through automation and waste elimination.
• Lead initiatives to reduce cycle times and costs, while implementing new processes, tools, and systems across the business.

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Data Science, or related fields.
• 3+ years’ experience as a Data Analyst, ideally in finance, utilities, telco, or energy-related industries
• Alteryx Experience and the ability to define its outputs.
• Strong skills in Excel and knowledge with SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau).
• Experience in Python or ETL tools (nice to have).
• Knowledge of billing systems, energy tariffs, or embedded networks (advantageous but not required — training provided).
• Excellent ability to translate data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
