Safety Officer 2

The Safety Officer 2 is responsible for implementing and enforcing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. This includes conducting site inspections, providing safety training, investigating accidents, and ensuring compliance with DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment) regulations and OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and monitor safety policies and procedures at the project site
• Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS)
• Facilitate safety orientations, toolbox meetings, and training programs
• Prepare and submit safety reports and documentation as required by DOLE
• Coordinate with the Safety Manager and other site personnel to maintain a safe work environment

Qualifications:

• Must be a DOLE-accredited Safety Officer 2
• Completed the mandatory 40-hour Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) Training for construction
• Preferably with at least 2 years of relevant experience in construction projects
• Possess additional certificates but not necessarily required (LCM, HIRAC, TOT, BBS)
• Knowledge of applicable safety regulations, risk management, and emergency procedures
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
