Live Dispatch & Tracking Supervisor - Delivery
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispatching & Logistics Coordination
Assign and schedule drivers, vehicles, and routes based on delivery priorities and real-time demands.
Ensure optimal resource utilization to minimize costs and maximize on-time deliveries.
Adjust dispatch plans dynamically in response to emergencies or last-minute changes.- Real-Time Monitoring & Issue Resolution
Track all active deliveries using GPS and fleet management software.
Proactively identify delays (traffic, breakdowns, weather) and implement contingency plans.
Communicate directly with drivers to provide updates and reroute as needed.- Daily Presidential Reporting
Prepare and present daily performance reports to the President, including:
On-time delivery rates.
Major delays or service failures.
Driver/vehicle availability and issues.
Customer complaints and resolutions.
Highlight risks and propose actionable solutions for executive decision-making.- Customer & Stakeholder Management
Serve as the escalation point for delivery-related issues from customers or partners.
Collaborate with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to resolve disruptions.- Compliance & Process Improvement
Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, and project SLAs.
Analyze delivery data to recommend efficiency improvements.
Maintain accurate records of dispatches, incidents, and vehicle maintenance.- Team Leadership
Supervise dispatchers and monitoring staff, providing training and performance feedback.
Foster a culture of accountability and urgency to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: 5+ years in logistics, dispatching, or fleet management, preferably in a supervisory role.Technical Skills: Expertise in dispatch software (e.g., Samsara, Geotab), Excel, and real-time tracking tools.
Communication: Exceptional verbal/written skills; ability to convey complex issues concisely to executives.
Leadership: Strong decision-making under pressure and problem-solving skills.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or related field (preferred but not mandatory).
