Position Summary:
As a Loan Processing Officer, you will work on a team of 20 to process loans for purchases, refinances, and construction loans. Your goal is to ensure the settlement process is smooth and positive for borrowers.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Prepare and review loan documents in accordance with credit approvals
- Coordinate with solicitors to ensure timely document issuance and settlement completion
- Ensure compliance with pre-settlement conditions and credit requirements
- Provide customer service by: (1) answering phone calls; (2) managing email inbox and responding to queries; and (3) handling general inquiries from brokers, solicitors, and third parties
Critical Challenges and Responsibilities:
- Work in a fast-paced environment to ensure: (1) Meeting of SLAs, compliance, and quality standards; and (2) Efficient daily workflow and task distribution with team members
- Coordinate documentation and system requirements for deal funding recommendations
- Communicate with Brokers and Broker support staff for smooth deal processing and contract administration
Knowledge, Qualifications, and Competencies:
- Proven customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn
- Previous mortgage industry experience a plus
