As General Manager of JJIM, your role is to oversee our Philippines business with direct reporting lines across all commercial, market access and regulatory affairs functions. You will assume the role of leader, key decision maker and sign-off authority for Johnson & Johnson Philippines Inc.

You are responsible for developing commercial strategy, providing insightful market analysis and ensuring alignment with regional/global strategy where necessary. You will be responsible for managing the integrated P&L and successful achieving sales, marketing and profitability targets for Johnson & Johnson’s pharmaceutical business in the Philippines.

You will focus on building organizational capabilities through investment in people, processes and technology to cultivate accelerated and sustainable growth. This requires you to lead and motivate a cross-functional team to deliver both short and long-term results in this dynamic market.
Key responsibilities:

The General Manager is responsible for developing commercial strategy based on deep local market insights and where appropriate with regional/global strategies; manage an integrated P&L and delivering sales, marketing and profitability objectives across the pharmaceutical business; building the organization capability (people, process, technology) in the market to accelerate and sustain growth; and leading/motivating a cross-functional team to deliver results for the short- and long-term.

This role will also take lead on the general management, decision-making, and sign off for Johnson & Johnson Philippines Inc.
Reporting Line
This position reports to the Area General Manager, JJIM for Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines (who is based in Singapore).
People Management Responsibilities

Oversight of Marketing Lead and Sales Lead, Market Access, and Regulatory Affairs within the Philippines. You will own the local P&L and have authority to direct appropriate business unit resources.

Key responsibilities

Sets a compelling vision and strategic direction to drive competitiveness and to deliver business results and sustainable growth for the Philippines.
Formulates and communicates overall sales objectives, strategies for the country in alignment with local, regional and global direction, driving execution.
Directs the development and preparation of short-term and long-range sales/profitability and other financial/non-financial goals plans and budgets based upon the portfolio growth objectives.
Works closely with the cross-functional teams to establish successful support.
Develop strong relationships with key customers, opinion leaders, industry associations and government representatives to achieve objectives of the group.
Actively influences regional stakeholders to enhance appreciation of Philippine market growth potential and drive more inclusive growth through appropriate allocation of investment and resources, balancing the complexity and risk profiles.
Build an engaged workforce and establish a plan for continuous coaching & capability development to elevate the Filipino talent narrative, and strength succession pipeline.
Demonstrate inspirational leadership to energize and engage hearts and minds, and lead organization through change.
Ensure Credo-based leadership embody our J&J Credo and leadership imperatives, and conducts business activities in compliance with ethics and legal requirements.
Creates the structure and processes necessary to manage the organization's current activities and its projected growth.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications:
A minimum of 10-15 years of professional experience in marketing, sales, and/or leadership positions with a consistent track record of success.
Extensive knowledge and experience in the pharmaceutical and/or healthcare environment.
Strong business acumen, strategic mindset and operational excellence, preferably in a complex and volatile market environment.
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to drive change and inspire
Proven ability to successfully develop talent
Ability to effectively influence and shape senior level business decisions.
A strong focus on the customer with demonstrated results building partnerships and collaborating at all levels and multiple functions/affiliates.
Undergraduate degree required. MBA (or equivalent) preferred.
Direct experience working in Oncology and/or Immunology therapeutic areas will be highly valued.
