- At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable or a related finance role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for liaising with lawyers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- High attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions and recordkeeping
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and lawyer requirements
- Strong process improvement mindset with the ability to enhance efficiency and compliance
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Strong multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy
- Experience within a legal, professional services, or corporate environment is an advantage
- Process supplier and disbursement invoices and allocate expenses to the appropriate matter codes
- Monitor trust account balances to ensure sufficient funds are available for disbursements
- Process daily and weekly payments, including ABA payment files
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Reconcile monthly credit card statements and investigate variances
- Maintain accurate records to support Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) reporting requirements
- Set up new suppliers in the system and verify banking details
- Respond promptly to queries from lawyers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Assist with month-end close activities and finance reporting requirements
- Support the Finance Team Leader and Head of Finance with ad hoc finance and administrative tasks
