The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and assisting with tax planning strategies. This role requires a strong understanding of tax regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Prepare and file accurate federal, state, and local tax returns (corporate, partnership, individual, sales, property, etc.) within prescribed deadlines.
• Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of tax provisions for financial statements.
• Respond to tax inquiries from internal departments and external tax authorities.
• Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities to minimize tax liabilities.
• Assist with tax audits and resolve tax-related issues.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and accounting principles.
• Assist with other accounting and finance projects as needed.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA is highly preferred.

• 4-5 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably within public accounting firm or any related industry.
• Proven experience with tax preparation software

• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
