Tasks and Responsibilities
In this leadership role, you will manage and mentor the estimating team in the Philippines while working closely with our Perth-based management and project teams. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate and competitive cost estimates for our commercial fit-out projects, implementing best practices, and driving operational efficiency within the team.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the estimating team in the Philippines, providing guidance, performance management, and workflow coordination.
- Review project documentation (drawings, specifications, BOQs) to deliver accurate and competitive estimates.
- Liaise closely with the Perth-based sales, estimating, and project management teams to ensure alignment on pricing and project strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to obtain reliable pricing and procurement information.
- Implement and refine estimating systems, processes, and standards to ensure efficiency and consistency across the team.
- Analyse project risks and recommend effective pricing and delivery strategies.
- Conduct post-project reviews to enhance future estimating accuracy and profitability.
- Support the professional development and training of the estimating team.
- Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably within commercial fit-out, interiors, or construction industries.
- Strong leadership and team management experience, with prior experience supervising or mentoring teams.
- Excellent understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with offshore and onshore teams and communicate effectively across different time zones.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
