Civil Engineer

• Supervision of on-going construction of high- rise building
• Preparation of daily construction progress reports to be submitted to the Project Manager.
• Reports directly to the Project Manager for possible construction issues and presents probable solutions for discussion
• Ensures that all construction works are compliant with the NBC, Consultants FCD and LGU guidelines for construction
• Coordinates with the Site Engineers, Contractors and Sub Contractors on work procedures.
• Coordinates with CAD Department on all drawing needs to be used on site.
• Prepares and evaluates Contractors and Sub-Contractor’s progress reports and billing evaluations.
• Checks on the construction works progress schedule.
• Attend meetings with Consultants, Contractors and Sub-Contractors
• Ensures that all site decisions, works and drawings are well coordinated with the assigned Engineers, submitted to the Project Manager prior to implementation
• Site Supervision as may be deemed necessary on other projects of the company
• Make structural calculations and cutting list.
• Check the strength of construction material and conduct materials testing.
• Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.
• Familiarize with the structural design of the building based on FCD
• Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness.
• Provide safe suggestions to structural design that can minimize the cost of implementation.
• Provide structural design analysis to actual site conditions.
• Use computer-aided design technology for simulation purposes.
• Other GFL tasks that may be given from time to time that are within the company projects and property.
• A licensed Civil Engineer hired by the company must secure an updated PRC license
• Must sign and seal documents

Qualifications:

• Minimum experience of 5 years in mid and high-rise construction
• Must be a licensed civil or structural engineering.
• Must be knowledgeable with NBC
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be knowledgeable in Autocad and Structural Engineering Programs (eg STAAD, Autodesk Autocad)
• Must be knowledgeable in MS Office
• Must be able to prepare construction site schedule
• Must be well knowledgeable and organized in construction work flow.
• Must be knowledgeable in structural materials specifications, its processes and applications
• Must be able to work flexible working schedule.
