Job Description

• Cost Engineer & Cost Principles
• Product costing, BOM analysis, and cost optimization
• Costing tools/software (SAP, SAGE, Excel, etc.)
• Understanding manufacturing processes, especially in lighting (e.g., LED assembly, Painting, Packaging, Welding and Machining Process)
• Familiar with Bill of Materials (BOM), product lifecycle, and design-to-cost strategies.
• Negotiate with suppliers and support pricing strategies with sales and marketing
• Knowledged in lighting standards, trends, and materials (e.g., LED technologies, drivers, thermal management)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, or Industrial) or a related technical field
• 3–5 years of relevant experience/s in cost engineering, preferably in the lighting, electronics, or manufacturing industry.
• Experiences in product costing, BOM analysis, and cost optimization.
• Proficiency in costing tools/software (SAP, SAGE, Excel, etc.).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, especially in lighting (e.g., LED assembly, Painting, Packaging, Welding and Machining Process).
• Familiarity with Bill of Materials (BOM), product lifecycle, and design-to-cost strategies.
• Strong analytical thinking and ability to interpret cost data.
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles.
• Ability to perform cost/benefit analysis and work with procurement and engineering teams to find cost-saving opportunities.
• Strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams (R&D, purchasing, production).
• Ability to negotiate with suppliers and support pricing strategies with sales and marketing.
• Awareness of lighting standards, trends, and materials (e.g., LED technologies, drivers, thermal management).
• Understanding of supply chain dynamics and market pricing in the lighting sector.
• Dedication to accuracy and proficiency.
• Positive work attitude and with teamwork skills.
