Job Description - Drive Test Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Drive Test Engineer that responsible for testing and evaluating the performance of wireless communication networks (2G, 3G, 4G LTE, 5G) through field measurements. The role involves collecting, analyzing, and optimizing network data to ensure high-quality coverage, capacity, and service performance.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Field Testing & Data Collection

• Conduct drive tests using specialized tools and equipment
• Collect real-time data on signal strength, call quality, data throughput, and network performance
• Perform indoor and outdoor testing for network coverage

1. Network Performance Analysis

• Analyze drive test logs to identify issues such as:
• Dropped calls
• Low signal strength (RSRP, RSSI)
• Poor data speeds
• Interference and handover failures
• Interpret KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

1. Optimization Support

• Provide recommendations for network improvements
• Support RF Engineers in optimizing coverage and capacity
• Suggest parameter tuning (handover, neighbor lists, power levels)

1. Reporting & Documentation

• Generate detailed drive test reports
• Document findings, issues, and optimization suggestions
• Present results to stakeholders or engineering teams

1. Troubleshooting

• Identify root causes of network issues
• Verify improvements after optimization changes
• Work with field and network teams to resolve problems

Job Qualifications:

• Graduate of BS Electronics/ Electrical / Telecom Engineering or any related field.
• Experience in telecom or RF testing is an advantage.
• Must have at least 1 year work experience as Drive Test Engineer in Telecom industry.
• Must have knowledge and understanding of wireless technologies and RF fundamentals.
• Willing to work on-site in NCR.
