About the role
Celso C Ferrer is seeking an experienced and dedicated Safety Inspector to join our team. As a Safety Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and environmental compliance of our mining operations in Surigao del Sur Caraga.This full-time position is essential in upholding our commitment to the wellbeing of our employees and the local community.
What you'll be doing- Conducting regular site inspections to identify and address potential safety risks and hazards
- Implementing and monitoring safety protocols, procedures and training programs
- Investigating and reporting on any incidents or accidents, and recommending corrective actions
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
- Collaborating with management to develop and continuously improve safety policies and practices
- Providing training and guidance to employees on safety best practices
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation of safety activities and findings
- A relevant tertiary qualification in occupational health and safety, environmental science or a related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Safety Inspector or similar role in the mining or resources industry
- Thorough understanding of health, safety and environmental legislation, regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with employees at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify and mitigate safety risks
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve safety objectives
- Proficient in report writing and data analysis
