Position Overview
The Employee Benefits Account Associate will support the day-to-day servicing of employee benefits accounts, ensuring accurate and timely execution of client deliverables. This role plays a critical part in renewal cycles, open enrollment preparation, data coordination, and client communication.
The ideal candidate has experience within an employee benefits brokerage or consulting environment and demonstrates strong organizational and analytical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day support for assigned employee benefits accounts, ensuring timely and accurate completion of service-related tasks
- Assist in preparing open enrollment materials, renewal proposals, reports, and client presentations using internal templates and carrier data
- Support sales and renewal processes by gathering, organizing, and updating client and insurer information
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and insurance carriers to process benefit changes and eligibility updates
- Maintain trackers, documentation, and records to ensure data accuracy and compliance
- Respond to routine client and carrier inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with reporting, special projects, and internal training initiatives as required
Preferred Background
Candidates with prior experience in established brokerage and consulting firms are strongly preferred, including:
- Enterprise / Global Firms: Marsh McLennan, Aon, Mercer, WTW
- Middle-Market Firms: Gallagher, Lockton, HUB International, USI Insurance Services
- 2–5+ years of experience in employee benefits brokerage or consulting
- Solid understanding of group health, ancillary, and/or retirement benefit plans
- Experience supporting renewal cycles and open enrollment processes
- Strong proficiency in preparing client-facing documentation and analyzing carrier data
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
