What is your mission?

We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll and Accounting Specialist to handle full-cycle payroll processing, ensure accurate accounting entries, and support audit and compliance across HR and finance teams. You will be responsible for payroll accuracy for 400+ employees, reconciliation of payroll accounts, and collaboration with multiple departments to ensure seamless reporting and compliance with GAAP standards.

You will provide the best service to our partner brands by performing these tasks:

  • Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll for approximately 400 employees
  • Ensure accurate gratuity and tip distributions
  • Reconcile benefit deductions and wage garnishments
  • Partner with HR and Accounting to meet payroll deadlines
  • Code and post payroll-related journal entries
  • Prepare and distribute labor and payroll reports
  • Reconcile payroll accounts with the general ledger
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies
  • Monitor and post payroll-related bank transactions
  • Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close related to payroll
  • Maintain payroll accounting standards under GAAP
  • Organize and maintain payroll documents and records
  • Conduct periodic internal payroll audits with HR and Accounting
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth payroll workflow
  • Stay up to date with payroll best practices and suggest process improvements
  • Perform other related payroll and accounting duties as needed
Who are we looking for?
  • Prior experience with payroll and accounting systems
  • Strong background in general accounting rules and standards
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Proactive, professional, and process-driven
  • Knowledge of GAAP standards and payroll reconciliation a plus
  • Experience handling payroll for 100+ employees is highly desirable
