QA Automation Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated testing solutions across multiple technology domains while ensuring high-quality software delivery.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, hands-on automation testing experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively within Agile teams.

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Cucumber for API Automation.
• Build and enhance reusable automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Perform UI and backend automation testing for web and mobile applications.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing initiatives.
• Develop Quality Management Plans and testing strategies for every sprint and release cycle.
• Review test plans, test cases, and conduct peer reviews to ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Development Teams to ensure requirements are testable and complete.
• Execute Smoke, Functional, Integration, and Regression testing activities.
• Log, track, and manage defects while leading defect review discussions.
• Support non-functional testing activities including Performance, Security, and Accessibility testing.
• Maintain QA documentation, requirement traceability, test cases, and defect reports using QA tools.
• Provide recommendations on QA best practices, governance, risk management, and process improvements.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in test automation and quality engineering.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Strong experience in web and mobile application testing.
• Experience testing RESTful microservices and cloud-based applications.
• Knowledge of J2EE application testing is an advantage.
• Experience with cloud databases, NoSQL technologies, and SQL-based RDBMS.

• Experience in API automation testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
• Experience working in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies.
• Knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and MIRO.
• Experience with Unix/Linux environments and scripting.
• Experience with ETL tools such as DataStage or Informatica.
• Working knowledge of AWS technologies including Lambda, DynamoDB, Glue, Athena, MongoDB, ElastiCache, and Parquet file format.
