Technician

• Install new air conditioning units in homes, offices, or buildings
• Set up wiring, piping, brackets, and drainage
• Test the system after installation

• Diagnose problems when an aircon is:
• not cooling,
• leaking water,
• making noise,
• not turning on,
• or freezing up
• Replace damaged parts like capacitors, compressors, fans, or thermostats

• Perform regular aircon cleaning
• Wash filters, coils, and drainage systems
• Check refrigerant levels and airflow
• Prevent breakdowns through preventive maintenance

• Inspect wiring and electrical connections
• Use tools and meters to test components
• Handle refrigerants safely

• Explain problems and repair options to customers
• Give maintenance advice
• Provide service reports

• Knowledge of cooling systems and electrical work
• Problem-solving skills
• Physical stamina (lifting units, climbing ladders, working in heat)
• Attention to safety
