Risk Officer

Job Summary

The Risk Officer is responsible for overseeing the risk management function. This includes supporting the Chief Compliance Officer in developing the BSFI's risk appetite and translating it into a risk limits structure. The role also involves proposing enhancements to risk management policies, processes, and systems to ensure the BSFI's risk management capabilities effectively support strategic objectives and risk-taking activities.

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework aligned with strategic objectives.
• Conduct regular and systematic risk assessments to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging risks.
• Analyze risk data to determine potential impact, likelihood, and prioritize mitigation strategies.
• Formulate and implement risk mitigation strategies, controls, and contingency plans across the organization.
• Monitor, measure, and report on key risk exposures and the effectiveness of risk mitigation efforts to senior management.
• Collaborate with all departments to embed risk management principles and practices into daily operations.
• Develop and deliver risk management training and awareness programs for employees.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate emerging risks, regulatory changes, and industry best practices to enhance the risk management framework.
• Maintain, update, and improve the Bank's Expected Credit Loss (ECL) model.
• Execute stress testing and compliance testing scenarios as mandated by the BSP and internal management.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accountancy, economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in risk management in banking/financing industry is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in banking/financing industry s eg. Auditor, Teller, Cashier etc.,
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
