Formworks design engineer

In line with our aggressive expansion, we are continuously seeking to hire qualified candidates.

Main Task: Responsible to develop the most cost-effective formwork, shoring or scaffolding solutions for various kinds of concrete construction projects. These solutions are based on PERI’s standard product systems that range from straight wall formwork for retaining walls to more sophisticated systems used in the construction of the highest buildings in the world.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop efficient formwork solutions for clients (including drawings, BOQs and calculations) and evaluate the project based on technical and financial requirements, specification and risk.
• Prepare formwork and shoring drawings for various concrete structures using AutoCAD and other PERI specific software.
• Improve his/her knowledge in all PERI standard products.
• Develop design knowledge for more sophisticated PERI systems (e.g. PERI UP) according to assignment by the management.
• Perform static analysis and checks to ensure the optimal design.
• Assure that he/she works using all his drafting skills on the highest possible level.
• Collect actively required information and ensure the information flow with his/her colleagues and superiors.
• Work closely with the technical team of PERI subsidiaries regarding the best design where the formwork equipment is to be utilized most.

Professional Requirements:

• Must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree & Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam) in Civil Engineering; Mechanical Engineering or any equivalent .
• Graduate of Mechanical Engineering with knowledge and experience in steel fabrication and vocational courses in drafting skills is also welcome to apply.
• At least 1 year up to 3 years of working experience in PERI design engineering for formworks, shoring/scaffolding industry or a minimum of 3-5 years of non-PERI formwork experience for new employees.
• With excellent AutoCAD, 3D modelling & MS Office skills.
• Certificate in AutoCAD training or equivalent is preferred.
• With general knowledge of local laws and regulations; basic experience in site service and costing and man hour estimation of projects.
• Fresh graduates who are willing to be trained and exposed in formwork and scaffolding industry are also welcome to apply.
