Position Title: Deputy Head, Information Technology Group

Job Description:

• Provides leadership in managing overall operations of the Group to meet its goals and objectives
• Organizes and maintains the Bank's overall IT service delivery strategies and infrastructure to ensure their efficiency and scalability.
• Keeps abreast with IT best practices and new technologies, and provides expert advice to the Senior
• Management on expenditure and management in the areas of IT, service delivery, and administrative services.
• Sets the Group's performance standards that support the achievement of the Bank's business targets.
• Leads IT projects/initiatives and manage delivery of IT support that meets the needs of internal customers while adhering to regulatory requirements.
• Leads the identification and development of IT-related policies and standards that will enable increased business efficiency.
• Manages risks on financial controls impacted by IT enabled solutions
• Reviews proposed annual budget for the Group and endorse approval to the President; ensures that the units operate to the approved budget (human and all resources of the unit);
• Prepares, consolidates, and manages the Bank's IT budget and spending
• Identifies ways to reduce costs without negatively impacting quality of programs, products, and services
• Leads, guides and mentor’s direct reports to ensure their success in meeting the performance goals of their respective functional units.
• Drives professional and personal development of employees by providing learning and development opportunities to team members.
• Drives succession planning as a key performance objective of the functional heads.
• Drives employee engagement and retention by ensuring the functional Heads are championing employee engagement initiatives in their respective units.
• Performs duties of a Committee member (board or bank level) as may be assigned by the senior management
• Assists the Senior Management in championing Culture transformation initiatives in the bank
• Represents the bank in any external forum or event as deemed necessary
• Performs program management and related functions that may be assigned by the Bank's senior management from time to time.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 20 years of extensive leadership experience in the technology and financial services industry, with a strong background in platform engineering, cloud computing, enterprise IT, and digital transformation across APAC.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale technology initiatives at global organizations.
• Deep expertise in financial services technology, including banking platforms, cybersecurity, AI/ML applications, and digital banking transformation.
• Strong industry linkages and stakeholder management experience, with a history of engaging C-level executives, financial institutions, and technology partners globally.
• Exceptional ability to build and lead high-performing, cross-functional, and geographically dispersed teams.
• Proficient in driving strategic technology initiatives, including cloud modernization, AI adoption, and regulatory compliance in financial institutions.
• Experienced in managing complex vendor relationships, outsourcing strategies, and partnerships with major industry players.
• Recognized thought leader with multiple industry awards in digital transformation and technology leadership.
