Safety Officer

Job Summary

Safety Officer is responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company's employee safety at work. Main goal will always safe working environment and prevent any injuries and accidents by ensuring that the company is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Plan and implement OHS policies and programs.
2. Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics.
3. Prepare related seminars on a regular basis.
4. Review existing policies and procedures.
5. Work with HR to set up a new employee on-boarding process for safety orientation.
6. Conduct risk assessment.
7. Check if all the employees are acting in adherence with rules and regulations.
8. Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes.
9. Oversees workplace repair, installations and any other work that could harm employees' safety.
10. Performs other duties that may be assign from time to time.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• With experience as Safety Officer in a manufacturing firm.
• Knowledge in OHS Policies.
• Knowledge in identifying potential hazardous materials and practices.
• Knowledge in writing policies and procedures for health and safety.
• Team player.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Bachelors Degree in any related field.
• Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
