Accounting Manager

About the role

Gaisano Bros. Merchandising, Inc. is seeking a talented and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. This full-time position is based in Cebu City, Cebu. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and reporting of our organisation.

• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial records
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, laws, and regulations
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our financial processes and procedures
• Maintaining the general ledger by accurately recording and categorizing every financial transaction, including sales, expenses, and payments.
• Preparing essential statements such as balance sheets, income statements (profit and loss), and cash flow statements to provide a snapshot of financial health.
• Comparing internal records with bank statements or vendor ledgers to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
• Computing taxes owed, preparing tax returns, and ensuring timely filing to avoid penalties and legal issues

• CPA holder
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accountant, preferably in the retail industry
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, practices, and reporting standards
• Proficient in the use of any financial software and spreadsheet applications
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
