Sr. Project Officer - Electrical
Position Summary:
This position is responsible to ensure that the department’s objectives, targets, and programs (OTPs) . The Senior Project Officer- EE/Aux is also expected to work closely and pro-actively with the entire PMO/PMT including cost and schedule management aspects.
Area of Responsibilities:
Knowledge Management:
Creates and systematically maintains a portfolio of project management methodologies, best practices, standards, QA/QC tools and list of lessons learned including design documents, contracts, and progress reports in a project database in order to establish a common body of knowledge universal to the whole enterprise.
Audit & Compliance:
Perform audits to assure the implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of the company, particularly in the enforcement of the implementation of the Construction Project Management Plan (CPMP) in the project site, monitors and records corrective and preventive actions and measures required from each audited and inspected project site to ensure conformance by all parties to the quality plans, policies and procedures and for the expeditious implementation and quality delivery of the project.
Design Management:
Oversee the development of electrical/auxiliary designs from initial concept to construction documentation, ensuring compliance with design guidelines, building codes, and regulations. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders during construction to integrate architectural and engineering designs with other systems and meet the regulatory standards, and discuss project timelines, project cost, design challenges, and design adjustments.
Contingency Planning:
Monitors project progress in order to identify and develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to potential risks and issues that could impact project success.
Performance Monitoring and Stakeholder Update:
Collates and reviews regular project reports and dashboards submitted by each project team and submit to stakeholder in order to monitor project performance and provide assistance if required.
Research and Development:
Assists in enabling innovation within the department or business unit through active research and study, participate in seminar and workshop to keep abreast with the immerging trends. Generate training programs for upskilling of Project Team.
Education
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics & Communication Engineering
Relevant Experience
Minimum of 5 years in the construction industry with at least 1 year in electrical design and 3 years in site execution or project fieldwork.
Licenses / Certifications
Must be PRC License Holder
