Job Description

The HR Specialist performs administrative tasks and focuses closely on recruitment, benefits administration and payroll. HR Specialist role’s main purpose is to support the HR Manager and all other departments within the organization; ensuring a productive, safe and respectable environment for all employees.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the HR Manager for the effective and efficient functioning of the HR activities
  • Conducts sourcing and preliminary screening and interview of job applicants; review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant & qualifications and support for a qualitative and efficient selection process.
  • Coordinate and align with manpower agencies for recruitment needs, status and validate billings.
  • Coordinate in Employee Relation/Labor concerns with staff and DOLE matters.
  • Monitors and reports all absences, tardiness, and leave credits of all employees.
  • Prepares and process timekeeping for payroll
  • Assist Managers with performance evaluation and development of the staff
  • Assist in administering and explaining benefits to employees, and to mediate employee relations concerns. Serve as liaison to government agencies (SSS, HDMF, PHIC, DOLE) as directed.
  • Assist in employee engagement agenda of the organization including staff parties
  • Supports administration, coordination, and implementation of human resources policies, procedures, and practices from hire to retire
  • Administer human resources record management such as 201 requirements, contracts, and employee notices
  • Provide assistance and follow-up on employee work-related queries, concerns, disciplinary actions, including timekeeping related queries and loans.
  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing. Retrieves records as needed and directed.
  • Perform other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Human Resource, Management in any reputable college and/or university (High Scholastic Standing).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience including a working knowledge of human resources procedures.
  • Adept with recruitment and Employee relations/Labour code process
  • Effective communicator (verbal and written).
  • Know when to seek direction, yet able to initiate and operate independently.
  • Professional, firm and very discrete.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, drive and enthusiasm.
  • Willingness and ability to communicate and deal with people with appropriate approach styles
  • Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Proficient in using computer applications such as Microsoft Suite and Google Suite applications
