Job description:

The kitchen staff play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. They assist in food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene standards. Kitchen staff members work in a team environment to deliver high-quality food and exceptional service to customers.

Responsibilities:

• Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients, chopping vegetables, and portioning meat or other proteins.
• Cooking: Assist in cooking and assembling dishes according to set recipes or under the guidance of the head chef.
• Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and ensuring equipment is clean and in working order.
• Stock Management: Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, restocking ingredients, and notifying supervisors of low inventory.
• Assistance During Service: Support the kitchen team during busy periods by ensuring timely preparation and plating of food items.
• Adherence to Safety Standards: Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures, including handling and storing food items at correct temperatures.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff members to ensure smooth operation and efficient service.
• Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
• Flexibility: Willingness to take on various tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the kitchen manager or head chef.
