Fire Protection Estimator (Part-Time | AU Projects | Remote)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fire Protection Estimator with proven experience in Australian projects. This role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for fire protection systems, including sprinkler, hydrant, and fire detection systems.

This is a part-time, remote role with flexible working hours, ideal for candidates with strong estimating experience in the AU construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and tender submissions for:
• Fire sprinkler systems
• Fire hydrant systems
• Fire detection and alarm systems
• Perform quantity take-offs and review technical drawings (plans, specifications, and scopes)
• Analyze project requirements and identify cost risks and opportunities
• Review tender documents, contracts, and scope of work
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing
• Ensure all estimates comply with Australian standards and project requirements
• Utilize estimating tools and platforms (e.g., EstimateOne, Cubit, Planswift, etc.)

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fire Protection Estimator (AU projects preferred)
• Strong knowledge of:
• Fire sprinkler systems
• Fire hydrant systems
• Fire detection systems
• Experience in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, and tendering
• Familiarity with Australian standards and construction practices
• Proficiency in estimating software/tools
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup

Nice to Have:

• Background in MEPFS estimation with strong fire system exposure
• Experience working with AU clients or contractors
• Engineering background (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Fire Protection)
