CAD Operator

COMPANY: FURNITURE STORE

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Understand written and verbal instructions, draft technical drawings and blueprints, implementing feedback from engineers and architects.
• Interpreting project briefs and meeting with clients, engineers, and architects to ensure all blueprints and technical drawings are completed to specifications. This can also be done in collaboration with Sales personnel.
• Adjusting design to prepare detailed drawings and plans, coming from rough sketches of customers.
• Visiting sites to gather information and determine correct measurement in relation to design or layout provided.
• Communicating with Sales personnel and with customers’ architects and IDs to get detailed information on measurements and specifications on products to be used.
• Close coordination with Sales personnel and/or customer’s designer on the updated plan to ensure correct measurement and quantification.
• Providing a cutting list for patterns to be followed by warehouse fabricator.
• Updating software, drawings, and other documents, keeping up to date with CAD software and other design tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Candidate must possess Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Drafting or any related courses.
• Proven experience of at least 2 years as a CAD Operator in a similar role.
• Proficiency in using design-aided software's, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop or similar tools.
• Strong technical drawing skills, attention to detail and creative flair.
• Understanding of engineering and architectural concepts.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and design requirements.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of drafting standards, scales, and annotations.
• Familiarity with construction, architecture and engineering terminologies.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of 3D modeling software (e.g., Revit) is a plus.
• Can start ASAP.
